Here lies the faces and lives of UMT'S amazing cast.

Phoenix Chapital :

8, was born in Memphis, TN and relocated with her family to New Orleans, LA in 2006.  At an early age, when other toddlers were forming their first words, Phoenix chose to use sign language.  She loves all forms of expression; including music, dance, and theater.  Since age four, she has studied ballet, jazz, tap, and modern dance.  Selected to her school’s Talented in Theater Phoenix recently performed in the musical Hello Dolly.  This is her first UMT production.

Nala Monet Hamilton :

7, is elated to make her Junior Theatre debut with UMT. In New Orleans, she has performed in theatrical productions Rising Stars and Dr. Dolittle Jr. and works regularly with Art in Motion. Her interests include acting, singing, dancing, playing piano, gymnastics and soccer.  Nala is currently a 2nd grade student at Ursuline Academy.   Dreams do come true!

11, attends St. Peter Claver Catholic School in New Orleans, LA. She enjoys singing, dancing, reading, drawing, fashion design, and working with computers. A member of the Junior Daughters of the Knights of Peter Claver Court #325, Talaire is outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. She volunteers when needed at various community functions and events. This is Talaire’s 3rd year with UMT..

Kiya Henderson :

12, is currently a 7th grade student at Lusher Charter School. She has performed with UMT for 6 years, acting in 14 productions to date.  Kiya has danced with the New Orleans Ballet Association, the Liturgical Dancer Team at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church and is a member of the middle school pep squad. In addition to studying gymnastics, she is a student at Best Motion Pictures and appeared in the film Night of the Living Dead.
